The Importance of Headlines

Day403
Tonight I saw for myself the importance of headlines in marketing. Our local art museum had a speaker come in, Perry Hurt, from the North Carolina Museum of Art. His topic was “Paint, a short history”

That headline would have kept me at home, but in the article about Perry and his talk it said, “Without paint Picasso would have just been a guy with a great signature.” And that got me there. I am happy to say, the talk was worth my time. He was very interesting. But, whether it’s a book, newspaper headline, talk or especially for us – headlines in ads and press releases, we need to capture people’s interest in those couple words.

Headlines!

Day286
I’ve spent 2 days (so far) going back to the beginning of this blog and feeding in headlines. It’s actually been fun to look back at the posts and also to come up with the headlines. But, it takes forever!

I have my whole blog on 2 different word documents because sometimes I write ahead and I always put ideas and links on the one document of things I want to post in the future. Then after I post I copy it onto my other word document to have a backup.
So I am adding headlines to three different places!
