4 Sections worth of products in my store disappear

Another unpleasant surprise for CafePress shopkeepers yesterday! Many of us received an email saying all of the images they stored on one of their servers were corrupt and they were taking them down. So for two days now 4 sections in my store are empty!

All of my ads pointing to. …nothing! All of my blogposts talking about my new designs pointing to …nothing!

After I saw on my statcounter that someone from Harpo in Chicago spent 10 minutes this afternoon clicking around my empty “Knut” section I put a message on every blank paging stating what happened and to please try back.

Oprah! Knut is really there, keep trying! (Only maybe wait a day!)

"The Secret" on Oprah

I had taped the Oprah program about the book and DVD The Secret and finally watched it today along with the follow up show from a week later. I was surprised how ordinary the basic message was, but Oprah did say at one point most people when it’s presented to them say, “I knew that.” They just hadn’t done anything with it.

There were a lot of things I liked that they suggested though. For instance getting up everyday and saying, “I choose today to give myself the best life ever!” And visualizing how you want your life to be, not continually thinking about the things you don’t want or like. The daily gratitude list fits well with another book I just read, “The Ultimate Gift”.

None of its new, but its always good to have fresh inspiration. Here’s some buttons to help us remember a few of the lessons.

Thinking Oprah might help

Thought I might get on Oprah.com’s forums – if I could get her to notice my design it would be like striking gold! Had to register to participate and now I get daily emails from “Oprah” telling me what’s going to be on her show the next day! And the forums didn’t really pan out – I mean, when someone is about ready to commit suicide because they have been 200 pounds overweight for the past 10 years, I can’t really suggest they wear a “no dessert” t-shirt can I?
